Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about concrete floor coatings.

How long does a concrete floor coating last?

It depends on prep, the system used and how the floor is used. A properly prepped and installed coating is built for years of service. We will talk about what to expect for your floor when we do your estimate.

Do you repair cracks and pitting before coating?

Yes. Crack, joint and pitting repair is part of our process. Coating over damage without repairing it shows through and can fail early.

Can you customize the look of my floor?

Yes. Choose from decorative flake blends, solid colors or metallic epoxy.

What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?

Both are resinous coatings. Epoxy is the traditional choice and is commonly used as a base coat. Polyaspartic is a different chemistry often used for topcoats and UV stability. We will recommend what suits your floor.

How long does an installation take?

That depends on the size of the floor, the repairs needed and cure times for the products used. We will give you a realistic schedule with your estimate.

Can you coat over an existing coating?

Sometimes, but usually a failing or sealed surface needs to be ground or removed first. We will check it at your estimate.

Do you deal with moisture?

Yes. We check for moisture before coating and use a moisture mitigation system when needed.

Are the floors slip-resistant?

Flake blends add texture, and we can discuss added slip resistance for wet or high-traffic areas.
